The general name of crimes against sexual immunity in law is called sexual abuse. These crimes violate the bodily immunity of the victim. The forms of sexual abuse can be overt or covert. People from all genders, social strata and occupational groups can be sexually abused. However, in general, it can be said that women and children are more exposed to sexual abuse. Children exposed to sexual crimes experience traumas throughout their lives, sexually abused women, on the other hand, have problems trusting men in adulthood. Therefore, it is very important to treat sexual offenders. For perpetrators of sexual crimes, psychotherapy can be administered by forensic psychologists, convicts can be directed to social activities in prisons, and chemical castration can be applied to perpetrators of sexual crimes.

To begin with, treatment programs can be applied by forensic psychologists to treat perpetrators of sexual crimes. For instance, childhood traumas of the offender can be learned by applying psychotherapy in individual counseling. Thus, the main reason for the sexual abuse of the offender is revealed and the treatment starts from the very foundation.

Secondly, social activities can be organized for criminals in prison for sexual crimes. For example, these people can be directed to activities such as sports, handicrafts, playing musical instruments.  These events should be organized in groups by the authorities. In this way, the criminal socializes by mixing with society and remembers the moral rules of the society.

Finally, perpetrators of serious sexual crimes can be sterilized by chemical castration. Thanks to the pills and injections to be used in chemical castration, the testosterone hormone of the criminals who commit sexual assault is reduced and their sexual desire is eliminated. The erotic and psychosexual life of the perpetrator of sexual crime can be rearranged with psychotherapy applied together with chemical castration. Thus, the criminal moves away from deviant sexual behavior.

As a result, sexual crimes are increasing exponentially with each passing day. And every precaution must be taken to solve this problem completely. Getting counseling support from forensic psychologists, reintegrating criminals into social life through various activities, and prevent deviant behavior with chemical castration are three important steps that can be taken to cope with this problem.  And I think the authorities can largely avoid this problem by taking these steps to treat sexual offenders.
